Our true gem! Meet our 1941 Indian 741 Military is a fantastic find shown standard Army Green complete with leather seating and side bags. In times of war, military soldiers relied on the maneuverability of this Indian because it was lightweight and easy to manage the primitive conditions of war. This RARE find is as dressed as it was back in 1941 complete with original WW2 Captains Sleeping Bag, Foxhole Shovel, and WW2 Helmet along with minimal chrome, white Star, and of course a pouch for your rifle. In addition see the labels still intact to read – Top speed for the 741 was 80mph and the labels show specifics of oil grade, spark plug, maintenance manual and parts list numbers. At the bottom of the plate, the machine was correctly identified as an Indian Motorcycle.
Indian Motorcycle Model 741 reports for duty in World War II and they dealt with the primitive conditions of everyday use knowing that military life was more abusive. Soldiers might ride them into places no regular rider would contemplate. Still, as the machines themselves were refined and improved, far-sighted military planners saw an increasing role for them to play. These machines that could do more than carrying two soldiers to the battlefront in a hurry.
